Our Story

  • Homeschooling wasn’t even on our radar.

    As parents of three little ones, all we wanted was for our children to see God's Word at work in the world around them from the very beginning. It all began with a preschool closure that left our then three-year-old begging to “do school” at home. Frustrated with the Biblical resources that weren’t academic enough and the academic resources that excluded - if not undermined - Scripture, we began developing our own lessons.

  • An enjoyable Christ-centered education experience that connects the dots between school and Scripture.

    These lessons were created for our kids and others like them. The hands-on learners whose favorite classroom is creation and whose greatest aha moments come from activating as many of their senses as possible. The ones with a million questions and a love to find answers in living books and through their own experiments. Our resources give you the freedom of flexibility and following your own rabbit trails without compromising on what matters most. You can count on each study to be:

    • Solid, but not overly structured
    • Bookish without boredom
    • Creative but not too crafty

    It's all here, framed for you to infuse your family's own style and chase down what interests your little learner most.

    What began as sermon-inspired lessons developed at the kitchen table on Sunday afternoons grew into monthly activity kits shipped across the US to families eager to explore the alphabet through Scripture. Now, our programs offer families the chance to discover how God’s Word informs every subject they study. We believe that when our littlest learners can see Scripture in action, they'll trust it. When they trust it, they'll live by it. And when they live by it, they'll lead others to do so, too.

  • Our Outlook

    The concepts we explore in science, math, art, language and literacy, culture — really every subject of study — are rooted in God’s Word from the foundation of the world. We anchor our academic study in the Bible because, well, where better to learn about anything than from the Primary Source?

  • Our Ethos

    Learning should be joyful, and it should always point us toward our Creator and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is our True North and His Word, our reliable guide. Scripture brought to life through sensorial exploration of the natural world is the basis for a God-led education.

  • Our Approach

    Using Scripture and research-informed methodologies, our learning objectives are guided by four cardinal points: Identity, Purpose, Stewardship and Mission. Children discover, explore and navigate Creation while forging unbreakable connections between God's Word and the real world.

Cardinal Points for God-led Learning

On a compass, the cardinal points are North, South, East and West. For Rightly Instructed, we use this term to describe our four primary learning indicators.

Identity

What did God make?

We encourage our little learners to engage in multi-sensory discovery of God's creation that builds recognition of natural elements while nurturing a positive sense of self and appreciation for the uniqueness of others.

Purpose

How do the things God made work and work together?

Experiential learning through inquisition, hypothesizing and investigation is what it's all about. We create space for this while encouraging our children to learn how to communicate their thoughts and ideas around all the "whys" and "hows" that bubble up in their minds.

Stewardship

How should I care for and manage God's creation?

We help our little learners grow practical understanding about care for themselves and their environment. We emphasize empathy and compassion for others and teach responsibility and accountability for words and actions. Ultimately, our goal is to equip and empower them to make choices that honor God, themselves and others.

Mission

How can I reflect God's image as He made me to do?

Our aim is to help our little ones learn about God's nature and character, recognize it on display throughout creation, and practice Christ-like qualities that let others see Him through their words and actions.
